The first edition of the VISION 2050 Challenge (Reto VISION 2050) will conclude on 1 April 2023.

The VISION 2050 Challenge is a joint activity organized by the Peruvian association VISION 2050 and Equipu, an entrepreneurship and innovation office of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). The initiative seeks to promote and strengthen the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in environmental issues. The challenge theme for this edition is “how to manage solid urban waste in areas that are difficult to access, with small-scale and efficient solutions”.

There are 262 students, from 21 universities in Peru and Colombia participating in the challenge with their ideas and proposals. The award ceremony will take place on 1 April 2023, and will count on the participation of Dr. Roger Achkar, Director-General, GWCN, as keynote speaker.
