EVENT
Nepal Tree Plantation Program 2023
The World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th June of every year to create worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment.
To commemorate this occasion, Dalit Alliance for Natural Resources, a member of GWCN in Nepal, organized a plantation event in partnership with UN aligned-Finland, Global Waste Cleaning Network (GWCN), Singh Gorkha Department Private Limited, Grape/GIZ, New Manakamana Tailors, Green Job Fund and Promotion Centre, with the following objectives:
1. Promote environmental consciousness: By organizing a tree plantation event, Dalit aim to raise awareness about the importance of trees in mitigating climate change, conserving biodiversity, and enhancing the overall well-being of our environment.
2. Foster collaboration and community engagement: Through this collaboration, Dalit seek to engage the students, faculty, and members of both Budhanilkantha School and DANAR in a shared mission to make a positive difference in their community. By working together, Dalit can inspire a sense of environmental responsibility and encourage active participation in sustainable practices.
3. Establish a model for future partnerships: This collaboration can serve as a model for future initiatives, where educational institutions and organizations join forces to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development. By showcasing the success of their collaboration, Dalit hope to inspire others to take similar actions in their respective communities.
