Mr. Syed Jazib Ali
Syed Jazib Ali is a UK based Journalist and an internationally acclaimed documentary filmmaker hailing from the Himalayan region of Jammu and Kashmir. In his career span, his work focuses on humanitarian issues and social causes. He is a creative storyteller with communication expertise gained working with international media organisations, NGOs, and UN organisations. Jazib is a recent postgraduate from the University of Sussex, where he developed his interest in environmental and climate change-related issues. One of his university short narration film projects on climate change also received international festival acclamation.
He co-directed the 'Act Now Film', an official UN COP26 Green zone event premiering at Glasgow Science Centre in November 2021. Act Now Film is a youth climate change project initiated by COP26 Universities Network, Cambridge Zero (University of Cambridge) and the University of Bath Policy and Research Network. The project trailer has already been part of New York Climate Week, COP15 Biodiversity and GAUC (Global Alliance of University on Climate) ClimateX events in 2021.
He will be a part of the panel, followed by the premiere of the Act Now Film project at the COP26 in Glasgow on Nov 11. The youth climate film is a part of the official green zone events line-up at the COP26. He will also be volunteering and working with the COP26 Coalition helping them in collective coverage of the COP26 events. He is also a part of the Minga Indegina audio-visual team, representing indigenous people at the COP26 summit. He believes COP26 has created a platform for climate enthusiasts to come together, network and learn from each other.
He is a true nature lover and enjoys cycling, hiking and long walks. He also loves watching films and documentaries.
