Pilar is an industrial engineer from the University of La Sabana in Colombia, with a Master's degree in Energy and Sustainable Development. She also holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and is currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering from the same University.

Passionate about environment and sustainable development, Pilar has worked as a consultant on environmental projects for the private sector in Colombia and in energy projects for several Latin American countries with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington DC, as well as in operational and resource management for the same organization.

She currently works as a consultant on environmental subjects and sustainability, especially on sustainable finance, ESG, water footprint, circular economy, climate change and energy, among others.
